OVERVIEW

Located in the Everest region, Ama Dablam has an altitude of 6,856 meters. Standing next to the glaciers hanging beside it like a precious stone, Ama Dablam is called Mother’s Necklace or Mother of Gems because Ama means mother and Dablam means jewelry box related to beautiful hanging glaciers.

Furthermore, the view from this majestic mountain peak is a fascinating sight to behold. Following the infamous Khumbu hiking trails, the Ama Dablam Expedition will take you through a remarkable journey over 27 days. The 27-day Ama Dablam expedition will make your days in Nepal memorable with the ultimate achievement being reaching the summit at an altitude of 6856 meters.

  • Day 04 Flight: Ktm – Lukla, Trek to Phakding, camp

One of the most breathtaking flights in the world takes off from Kathmandu and lands in Lukla after a 40-minute trip. The sixteen-seater TWIN OTTER transports us to the Sherpa heartland in the direction of the east while providing us with stunning views of the Khumbu region’s mountain peaks, including Mt. Everest and the enticing Ama Dablam. To put it simply, the airplane landing on this tiny airstrip at Lukla is going to be incredibly exhilarating and send shivers down your spine! After landing, we will immediately begin trekking north-west along the well-known trail before descending to the riverside at Phakding 2,652m. We continued on through lovely fir forests until Chumda, where we put up our camps for the night (about 5 hours of walking).

  • Day 05 Trek to Namche Bazaar, camp

We start our ascent up the steep hill toward Namche Bazaar after an early breakfast. If the sky is clear, we can view majestic Mt. Everest, the world’s tallest mountain, followed by Lhotse. We will arrive in Namche in about six hours. It is the wealthiest and biggest town in the Khumbu region and is inhabited by Sherpas, who all resemble Tibetans in terms of appearance and cultural practices. The town is bustling, with lots of well-stocked stores, typical restaurants, and hotels. The stunning close-up views of the snow-capped mountains all around make it all look magnificent. Given that Namche is 3,445 meters above sea level, some of us may experience minor breathing difficulties.

  • Day 06 Rest day at Namche Bazaar, camp

  • Day 07 Trek to Tengboche, camp

Only in the morning did we have great views of Mount Ama Dablam and other surrounding mountain ranges. We continued walking northeast along the Dudh Koshi River. The trail passes through moss and rhododendron forest to the riverbank, leading further along the river to Phungithanga. After crossing the Dudh Koshi River on a bridge at this point, the trail climbs a hill to the top of the saddle to reach Thyangboche. Thyangboche is the main important monastery in the Khumbu region. The ancient Thyangboche Monastery (first original) was destroyed by an accidental fire in 1989. The main village is located at the foot of Mt. Kangtaiga and from the top of this ridge we can have a wonderful panoramic view of the main mountain. mountain peaks include Mount Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. We camped overnight near the monastery. (walking takes 6 hours)..

  • Day 08 Trek to Base Camp

Our track led right and continued going up to the next valley, where our Base Camp at a height of 4,570 meters was reached after around two to three hours of hiking up the valley in the direction of the Everest Base Camp. We set our camp near the fantastic location where the majority of the climbing routes can be seen. Naturally, there will be a lovely atmosphere, one of calm tranquility. The porters will therefore have enough to do over the course of the next few weeks. The Liaison Officer, a Cook, a Sirdar, and other staff members make up the remaining Base Camp workforce.

  • Day 09 to 24 TO 24 ASCENT OF MT. AMA DABLAM.

We need to be understanding and flexible about timing, because it will be impossible to follow our daily route exactly during the ascent due to unpredictable weather conditions in the mountains.Rephrase

The group will work on the mountain. THE MAIN TEAM will be divided into groups: Climbing Group and Working Group. Groups – while group ‘A’ surveyed the route and repaired the ropes, the remaining group ‘B’ would carry the necessary loads to the camps above. The route description is from the expedition team (led by Ray Delaney) who climbed Mt. Ama Dablam in 1990… From Base Camp — The route crosses grassy ridges heading east to a wide saddle. From this point we can see Mingbo La (high road). We now headed north, climbing over rocky terrain and then through boulders to reach a ridge, the site of Camp I at 5,705 meters. There are 5-6 natural platforms suitable for setting up tents here. From Camp I — Cross a rock bowl (difficult if covered in snow) until under two fingers of rock, then proceed to the ridge. Climbing the ridge involves severe climbing using VS steps (US 5.6). Camp II, located atop a yellow tower, is one of the hardest climbs at VS/Hard VS (5.8). From Camp II — Go east along the red cliff and follow the ramp to the gray tower. Continue up the ramp (at risk of falling rocks) and up to an amphitheater. Continue up the wide ravine formed between the Gray Tower and the col below and climb the snow slope to reach ‘Santa’s Grotto’ at the start of Mushroom Ridge. Follow the mushroom-shaped ridge until you reach a crevasse in the upper face, which has a great spot. Head up the snow/ice slope on the right side of the road, then follow the mixed terrain to the top of the highest hanging glacier. A glacial ridge now leads to the summit in a stunning location. We have glorious and inspiring views!.

  • Day 25 to 27 RETREAT TREK TO LUKLA.
