Our journey begins at Marpha. We gently ascend into the tropical zone’s verdant, lush trees. We will take a break for lunch and continue walking till we reach Yak Kharka, which is at 3680 meters. On this day, the entire trip will take roughly 6 hours.

  • Day 06 Trek From Yak Kharka To Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4700 M) 6 Hrs

As it provides magnificent views of the surrounding peaks, including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and many more, Yak Kharka, which means the pasture for yaks, is a well-liked resting place for trekkers in the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri areas. We will arrive at our destination, Dhaulagiri Base Camp at 4700 m, after a 6-hour journey. We will eat the dinner that our cooks have prepared and relax in comfortable tents at the base camp.

  • Day 07 to 40 Climbing Period

We will spend a few days at the base training and preparing for the summit. First, we climb over an ice waterfall leading to the wide northern pass at 5900 m, where we will set up camp 1. We need to set up camp in a location that is free from avalanche and ice fall hazards . The road to Camp 1 is not very steep because the altitude is relatively low.

After camp 1, the path is steep and you will have to walk with the help of fixed ropes and use technical equipment. With the help of the Sherpas, we will reach an altitude of 6400 m and set up camp.

Above Camp 2, our route steepened as we headed toward the northwest ridge below the summit. The climb was steep and required walking on ice and snow, so we walked together and crossed carefully. The route has ups and downs. We may even encounter strong wind storms as we approach East Ridge, one of the most difficult parts of the Dhaulagiri expedition. Finally we will set up Camp 3 at an altitude of 7400 m.

The climb to the summit is through a snowfield to a narrow 45-degree gully leading to the summit of Dazzling White Peak. On summit day, we’ll start early and have a hearty breakfast. We then climbed slowly over fixed ropes on the northeast face of Dhaulagiri. If the weather is favorable, we will successfully summit in 6-8 hours with plenty of time to admire the surrounding peaks including the Annapurna massif, Putha Hiunchuli, Churen range and many others. Our strong team of Sherpas will always be by our side to support us. We will also set up a backup camp at 7900 m in case of dangerous weather.

After successfully conquering the world’s seventh highest peak, Mt. Dhaulagiri, we will retrace our path towards the lower camps and finally reach the base camp.

  • Day 41 Rest Day And Base Camp Cleaning

We will set aside one day for relaxation at base camp following a successful summit. As we get ready to leave for Yak Kharka, we’ll clean up the base camp area.

  • Day 43 Trek From Yak Kharka To Jomsom

We stay the night in a comfortable resort in Jomsom and take in the customs and culture of the area. The location is bordered by the lovely and cooling Kaligandaki river.
