OVERVIEW

Kathmandu Nagarkot tour explores the cultural and natural wonders of the Kathmandu Valley. Our 5-day Kathmandu and Nagarkot tour offers the opportunity to explore the culture, mountains and villages of Nepal.

Kathmandu is the cultural and political center of Nepal. Many places in Kathmandu are open museums including the three main Durbar squares, Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. Kathmandu Valley is the cultural center of Nepal. On the streets of the bustling city, the Newars still celebrate their age-old mystical festivals in the grounds of medieval palaces and temples. The lush hills on the outskirts offer opportunities for sightseeing in the Himalayas, short and scenic cultural trips to Nagarkot.

ITINERARY

  • Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu.

    Arrival at Kathmandu airport; transfer to accommodation. Check in and enjoy a free day of exploring Thamel. With breakfast, spend the night at a three-star hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour

    After breakfast at the hotel, a tour guide will take you around Kathmandu’s Durbar Square, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa, and Pasupatinath Temple.

  • Day 03: Bhaktapur Tour and Drive to Nagarkot

    Drive to Bhaktapur for a tour after breakfast. Bhaktapur is referred to as “The Living Museum” because it still smells like the Middle Ages. After lunch, we’ll travel to Nagarkot, a little hill village with the best panoramic views of the Himalayas at sunrise and sunset. Sleep in Nagarkot tonight. Experience the countryside and the Himalayas.

  • Day 04: Easy Hiking and Patan Tour

    Many tourists travel to Nagarkot to view the dawn over the Himalayas, the sunset, and the stunning snow-capped peaks like Everest and Annapurna.Breakfast at the hotel, a quick and easy day walk to Changunarayan Temple, and a drive to Patan for a visit of the Patan Durbar Square follow. Spend the night in Kathmandu.

  • Day 05: Kathmandu Airport

    After breakfast, you will have time on your own to explore Thamel for any last-minute shopping before being driven to the airport for your flight.
