ITINERARY

  • Day 01 Arrival Kathmandu, transfer to hotel B/B

    When you arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport, a representative of Trek Himalayan will greet you and transport you to your accommodation. The remainder of the day is at your leisure until evening, when you will meet your guide for a welcome drink and introductions. Nighttime in Kathmandu

  • Day 02 to 03 Rest in Kathmandu.

    Sightseeing and Everest Expedition Preparation. While the leader attends a formal briefing in the Ministry of Tourism, you will visit the beautiful city of Kathmandu. Both the well-known Hindu pilgrimage destination of Pashupatinath Temple and the famed Stupa Boudhnath will be on your itinerary. The leader will go over everyone’s gear in the late afternoon because Kathmandu is the last place where you can get any missing items. Additionally, the guides and other trip participants will be presented to you. Afternoon at the hotel.

  • Day 04 Fly to Lhasa, Tibet – 3656m.

    On the fourth day, we catch an early flight to Lhasa and spend the night there.

  • Day 05 Drive Gyantse 3950m, 265km.

    Leave Lhasa and travel down the friendship highway on a four-wheeler after breakfast at a hotel. As you go, you will pass over a number of high passes including Khambo La and Kharo La, which provide breath-taking vistas of the Himalayan range. As the journey goes over Kharo La, a massive glacier almost rises straight up from the road. The trip is quite fascinating since you travel through several additional picturesque Tibetan landscapes and peaceful towns. Arrive at Gyantse, and spend the night there.

  • Day 06 Drive to Shigatse (3900m). Overnight in hotel.

    Morning breakfast then a short visit to Gyantse Dzong. This fort is of the 14th century and offers some of the most wonderful views of Gyantse and the surrounding valley. You will visit the famed and splendid tiered structure Gyantse Kumbum as well which is the largest stupa in all of Tibet. Today you will have a very short drive which takes the only 90km that leads you to the second largest town in all of Tibet. When you arrive in Shigatse you will explore the local market and guide will take you to visit Tashilhumpo Monastery. This monastery is one of the largest functioning monasteries in Tibet. That was able to last through the Cultural Revolution nearly unscathed. Overnight at hotel

  • Day 07 Drive to Shegar (4350m). Overnight in hotel.

    After breakfast, you’ll leave Shigatse and drive along the Friendship Highway to enjoy breathtaking views of this desert plateau. After passing through the small town of Lhatse, the journey will pass through Gyatmso La, this is the highest pass on your journey. The land quickly descends to the plains after Gyatmso La. As you cross the plains, you will see many nomadic shepherds, beautiful countryside and isolated monasteries. Night at the guest house.

  • Day 08 Drive to Chinese Base Camp, Camp

    After breakfast, you’ll leave Shigatse and drive along the Friendship Highway to enjoy breathtaking views of this desert plateau. After passing through the small town of Lhatse, the journey will pass through Gyatmso La, this is the highest pass on your journey. The land quickly descends to the plains after Gyatmso La. As you cross the plains, you will see many nomadic shepherds, beautiful countryside and isolated monasteries. Night at the guest house.

  • Day 09 to 12 At the Base Camp

    We spend a solid four days in the base camp getting used to the new environment. Throughout the period of acclimation, our climbing guide will give briefings on the adventures.

  • Day 13 Trek to intermediate camp (6200m)

    We journey to the intermediate camp on the thirteenth day and spend the night at a camp.

  • Day 14 Advance Base Camp (6500m)

    We’ll go to Advanced Base Camp, where our guide will give us one more briefing before we start the mountain ascent.

  • Day 15-54 Climbing Period of Everest

    Our trip up Mount Everest’s North Face will begin on the fifteenth day; the entire ascent will take 39 days.

  • Day 55 Return to Advance Base Camp

    We will hike down to Advance Base camp on the 55th day and spend the night there in a tent.

  • Day 56 Return to Base Camp.

    We hike down to Base camp the next day.

  • Day 57 Cleaning up Base Camp

    The following day, we spend the entire day picking up the trash we generated while walking and climbing. Stay the Night at Base Camp

  • Day 58 Drive to Shegar. Overnight in hotel

    Early in the morning, we begin the drive back to Shegar. In-between will be a breakfast break. When we go to Shegar, we’ll spend the night at a motel.

  • Day 59 Drive to Shigatse, Overnight in Hotel

    After breakfast, we go from Shegar to Shigatse, where we spend the night.

  • Day 60 Drive to Gyantse. Overnight in Hotel

    We will go from Shigatse to Gyantse after breakfast. Gyantse will be our home for the night.

  • Day 61 Drive to Lhasa. Overnight stay

    We depart early in the morning for Lhasa, stopping along the way for brunch. We spend the night in Lhasa.

  • Day 62 Fly back to Kathmandu, Nepal.

    We board an early flight for Nepal’s Kathmandu. Once you arrive in Kathmandu, you will be taken to a hotel.

  • Day 63 Rest Day in Kathmandu

    Before departing for your next location, you may take a city tour and roam about the area, sample Nepalese food, make new friends, and take in the vibrant culture of Nepal.

  • Day 64 Final Departure

    Your next stop is the airport, where our representative will drop you off.
