OVERVIEW
Shishapangma is one of the very lovely mountains of China, which lies in its autonomous region Tibet. Only very few people in the world had an idea about the Shisha Pangma before the Chinese opened Tibet to the western summiteers 1978. It is regarded as the very holy mountain by the Tibetans. It is the youngest mountain among the peaks situated above the height of 8000m, and there are only fourteen mountains above the 8000 m, high Himalayan ranges. Till to date many climbers have succeeded to approach its apex.

From here follow a slope of about 35 degrees to the glacier basin below the north face of ShishaPangma, establishing Camp II at about 6,900 m.
The next part of the ascent route is invisible from below and leads directly to the ski depot at 7,100 m. The next 40-degree slope leads to the ridge connecting ShishaPangma with Camp III at 7,350 m.
Depending on conditions, climb the pyramid or central peak of ShishaPangma on summit day. Rejoin the ridge by crossing left to the side of the summit. The most difficult passages must be mastered during the next part of the ascent. The mixed terrain and 45-degree slopes require extreme concentration. From the top of Shisha Pangma, enjoy stunning panoramic views of eight thousand Everest, Makalu, Cho Oyu and Lothse if conditions are good. Go down by the way up.
